I made this glass art piece in the Summer. I cut mosaic sized pieces of the red glass and laid it out into the shape of a poppy. I then added clear glass to it and added black glass to the middle. I then fired the piece to 800 degrees centigrade.
 
The stand was made to enhance it more. Made from English Spalted Beech and was sourced from sustainable local woodlands in Hampshire.
 
The whole piece measures 410mm wide x 470mm high.
 
Looks stunning anywhere in the home.
